How do I couple my trailer to the towing vehicle?
Lower the coupling onto the towball until fully engaged, confirm the indicator shows locked, attach the breakaway cable correctly, connect electrics, and check lights.

How often does my trailer need servicing?
Annually or every 10,000 miles, or more frequently for professional use.
How often should I wax the trailer?
At least once a year, ideally more often.
How should I clean my fibreglass body?
Use a pH-neutral wash and wax with high wax content.
How should I position the car inside the trailer & what should the nose weight be?
Position the vehicle so the trailer sits level when hitched and the correct nose weight is achieved.
How should I store my trailer long-term?
Store in a shaded, well-ventilated area where possible.
I have damaged my lights, can I buy replacements?
Yes. Replacement parts are available through our parts shop.
I have never towed a trailer like this before, how will this affect my driving?
Towing requires smoother acceleration, increased braking distances, and wider turning. Take time to familiarise yourself.
Is my towing vehicle suitable?
Your towing vehicle must have sufficient towing capacity, nose weight allowance, and correct licence entitlement. We are happy to help check suitability.
Is there a dedicated support section on the website?

Should I use a caravan or trailer cover?
No. Covers can trap heat and moisture and may damage or deform the body.
Should I wax my trailer?
Yes. Waxing protects against UV damage and oxidation.
What are your typical lead times?
Lead times are typically 2–4 weeks, depending on model and specification.
What does the 10-year warranty cover?
The 10-year warranty covers the structural integrity of the chassis and composite body.
What electrical systems are fitted as standard?
All trailers are fitted with sealed, reliable wiring looms and compliant lighting.

We provide a friendly, unhurried handover to ensure you are confident using your trailer.

What is nose weight and why does it matter?
Nose weight affects towing stability. Typically aim for 5–7% of the trailer’s gross weight, without exceeding limits.
What is not covered under warranty?
Wear items and damage caused by misuse, impact, or lack of maintenance are not covered.
What is the correct procedure for loading and unloading the trailer?
Load slowly on level ground, ensure ramps are secure, position the vehicle correctly, apply handbrake, and secure using approved restraints.
What is the difference between Knott, AL-KO, and ProDynamics?
Each offers different strengths; ProDynamics focuses on integration and performance refinement.
What is the difference between Velocity iQ Lite, Velocity EVO, Eco-Shuttle, and ApexPro?
Velocity iQ Lite is a simplified, off-the-shelf enclosed trailer offering excellent value. Velocity EVO is our latest-generation enclosed trailer with upgraded chassis, running gear, and premium features. Eco-Shuttle is a compact, lightweight enclosed trailer designed for smaller vehicles. ApexPro is our flagship professional-grade transporter, designed for frequent, day-to-day use with maximum access, space, and modular capability.
What is the new BPW iSC / Knott stabilising coupling?
Stabilising couplings reduce snaking and improve towing stability, particularly at speed or under load.
What is Type Approval, and can I use my trailer abroad?
All Eco-Trailer trailers are type approved and legal for road use in the UK and EU.
What licence do I need to tow an enclosed trailer?
Licence requirements depend on vehicle and trailer weights. Please check DVLA guidance or ask our team for advice.
What modular storage options are available?
Modular storage and interior features are available on selected models, particularly ApexPro.
What options can be factory-fitted?

What running gear do you use?

What should I do if the body is damaged?
Temporarily seal the area and arrange a proper gelcoat repair as soon as possible.
What should I use to secure the vehicle inside the trailer?
Use proper wheel straps or restraints designed for vehicle transport. Avoid chassis or suspension tie-downs unless specified.
What should the tyre pressures be?

What towing capacity do I need?
