OUR HISTORY

At our Factory located in Nunthorpe, Cleveland we house specialist workshops. They include our fiberglass production, chassis fabrication, trailer assembly and technical inspection areas. Our team use the latest techniques and equipment to produce the highest quality trailers. With over 25 years experience in motor car transport and motorsport we feel we are best placed to offer a personal service to our clients. Currently Eco-Trailer manufacture over 240 covered car trailers per year. 30% of our covered car trailers are exported. We ship to Europe and further afield. We have customers in the UAE, New Zealand and the USA. OUR MISSION

We pride ourselves in fitting only the best quality components to our enclosed car trailers. Our couplings, drawbars, axles and brakes are manufactured by Al-Ko & BPW. Al-Ko are responsible for the sale of all BPW light axle products throughout the UK and Ireland. You can find more information at www.al-ko.co.uk The lighting equipment we fit are supplied by BPW/Ermax. This includes the new LED units included on our Velocity iQ Covered Car Trailer. Denmark based, they supply us with custom made wiring looms that are of the highest standard. All of the lights we fit are junction box-free, and have waterproof terminals. OUR AXLE SUPPLIER - BPW

Established in 1987 and based in Leicester, BPW Limited is responsible for the sale of all BPW products throughout the UK and Ireland.
BPW Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of BPW Bergische Achsen KG, Europe’s leading axle and suspension manufacturer for trailers and semi-trailers.Their parent company was established in 1898 and remains an owner-operated family business.
BPW has twelve production plants across the world. It also has more than 20 distribution companies and a service network of some 3,200 agents.

The development team at the Paderborn site possess decades of experience in the development and construction of running gear for trailers up to 3500kg.

BPW Fahrzeugtechnik specialists provide engineering support such as FEM and brake calculation as well as carrying out driving and test track trials.

FIBRE GLASS PROCESS

The Eco-Trailer in-house fibreglass department process all of our high quality bodywork. This ensures quality control, efficiency and flexibility. All of our gelcoat and resin is formulated specifically for our trailers by AOC Resins. Our bespoke gelcoat offers; • UV Stability – No fading or damage from sunlight • Anti-bio formula – Prevents the growth of algae and moss when stored outdoors • Bright white finish – Our trailers always look their best • Hard wearing – AOC gelcoat is tough and hard wearing, it produces a long lasting quality finish AOC Resins offer; • Eco-Resin – Polyester resin is formulated using recycled content. • Rigidity in high temperature environments • Temperature resistance for winter • Sprayed in a controlled environment giving a perfect glass/resin ratio and minimal wastage

Eco-Trailer exports a number of trailers throughout Mainland Europe and also further afield. Our trailers are used in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, UAE, Africa and this year a planned trip to the Arctic Circle!
