Is it illegal to drive with your trailer doors open?
Driving with an open trailer door is not explicitly illegal in the UK, but it can be if it creates a hazard to other road users. The key factor is whether the open door or the load within the trailer is secure and doesn’t pose a danger.
How can I improve the door on my current car hauler trailer?
If your rear door also doubles up as an access ramp for vehicles, you should consider an Anti-Slip Ramp DIY Kit. The kit includes everything you need to make this upgrade, including anti-slip granules, resin based first and top coats, sandpaper and gloves.
Most Velocity RS Trailers built before 2018 did not have this feature as standard.
